During his testimony to Congress earlier this month, Federal Bureau of Investigation Director James Comey misstated findings of the Hillary Clinton email investigation, the Washington Post reports.
Comey told Congress that Clinton aide Huma Abedin “had a regular practice” of forwarding emails to her husband, Anthony Weiner. “I think to print out for her so she could then deliver them to the secretary of state,” he added. Comey said that some of the “hundreds and thousands” of forwarded emails contained classified information. But sources told the Post that the number of forwarded emails was far fewer than Comey described, and that none of the emails were explicitly “marked classified,” though a few contained information that was later identified as classified.
