Timber company workers stand stranded on a damaged road on March 18th, 2019, at Charter Estate, in Chimanimani, eastern Zimbabwe, after Cyclone Idai ripped across Mozambique, Zimbabwe, and Malawi. The Red Cross has reported at least 215 deaths, and President Filipe Nyusi of Mozambique said he fears the death toll may reach over 1,000. Cyclone Idai tore into the center of Mozambique on the night of March 14th before barreling into neighboring Zimbabwe, bringing flash floods and ferocious winds, and washing away roads and houses.
