Miller-McCune at Independent Press Awards

It feels good to pat yourself on the back: Miller-McCune has been twice nominated at the 2010 Utne Independent Press Awards

Magazines, especially the online variety, seem to come and go in the blink of an eye. Though we’re aware that many of even the “best” ones fail, it’s always nice to hear news of potential accolades.

Today we were pleased to be informed that Miller-McCune magazine has been nominated in the “General Excellence” and “Science/Technology Coverage” categories in the 21st annual Utne Independent Press Awards.

While the magazine is no stranger to the Independent Press Awards (we garnered the “Science/Technology” Award in 2009), we’re newcomers to the “General Excellence” category.

Miller-McCune is certainly among accomplished company. The 2009 nominees for “General Excellence” included The Nation, Virginia Quarterly Review and New Statesmen.
