President Donald Trump lashed out at the American court system on Wednesday, calling it “broken and unfair” on Twitter, following a United States District Court in San Francisco judge’s ruling that the White House could not follow through on plans to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program.

“It just shows everyone how broken and unfair our Court System is when the opposing side in a case (such as DACA) always runs to the 9th Circuit,” Trump wrote, “and almost always wins before being reversed by higher courts.”

Late Tuesday night, Judge William Alsup ordered the administration to “maintain the DACA program on a nationwide basis.”

The program allows foreign minors who came to the U.S. as children to apply for a two-year deportation deferral and work visa, subject to renewal; it affects about 800,000 people.
