President Donald Trump has named Army Lieutenant General Herbert Raymond McMaster as his new national security adviser, the Associated Press reported today. McMaster is replacing Michael Flynn, who was pushed to resign last week following revelations that he misrepresented communications with Russian officials. McMaster was Trump’s second choice to fill the newly open slot; Vice Admiral Robert Harward declined the post last week.
