A mourner holds a candle for murdered Gdansk Mayor Pawel Adamowicz on January 17th, 2019, in Gdansk, Poland. Adamowicz was stabbed on stage while attending a charity event in Gdansk last Sunday and died a day later of his injuries. The suspect is a 27-year-old man with a criminal record who was taken into custody. The coffin carrying Adamowicz's body was displayed in the European Solidarity Centre late Thursday, where the public could pay last respects. Adamowicz's funeral is scheduled for Saturday, January 19th, 2019.
