President Donald Trump announced Friday afternoon via Twitter that he had fired Chief of Staff Reince Priebus. He will replace the disgruntled former Republican National Committee chairman with John Kelly, who currently helms the Department of Homeland Security.
I am pleased to inform you that I have just named General/Secretary John F Kelly as White House Chief of Staff. He is a Great American….

Priebus, who has for weeks been under attack by rivals in the White House, was subject to a scathing treatment this week by newly appointed White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci. Scaramucci told Ryan Lizza of The New Yorker that Priebus is “a fucking paranoid schizophrenic, a paranoiac.”
Trump has not yet announced who will replace Kelly at the DHS.
